Expansion Joint T-junction

Replace Car Park Expansion Joint Include the followings:

· Remove all unsound concrete in or around the blockouts. The horizontal blockout base must be level and all major spalls must be repaired. Proper preparation geometry and suitable patching materials compatible with the nosing must be used.

· The blockout must be perfectly clean [sand blasted] and dry prior to installation.

· Apply primer on concrete allowing 30 minute to dry.

· Thoroughly solvent-clean sealing gland and position in joint-gap.

· Mask-off top surface of sealing gland with duct tape.

· Apply 6mm (1/4”) foam foam-tape over duct-Tape to edge of gland to provide correct screed level for nosing material.

· Mask-off deck with duct tape.

· Mix nosing ingredients according to the supplied manufacturer instruction.

· pour nosing material into the blockout. Force material under flanges ensure they are firmly embedded and that there are no air pocket or unfilled voids under the flanges.

· Trowel smooth.

· Remove masking tape and foam tape.
